ReachKit vs Rank Math
An on-page SEO checker tool reads a page's HTML and reports which of the things search engines look for are missing or malformed. Rank Math's is the SEO Analyzer at rankmath.com/tools/seo-analyzer — free, no account, any URL — and it is the front door to something larger: a WordPress plugin that moves the same analysis inside your editor. ReachKit checks 8 on-page signals on any stack, and ranks what to fix by what the fix is worth.
What Rank Math does better
If your site runs on WordPress, Rank Math is playing a game ReachKit cannot play at all. The analyzer's own page says as much — install the Rank Math SEO plugin to get more advanced reports inside WordPress — and that is the real product. Rank Math's pricing page lists the free plugin as including an Advanced SEO Analysis Tool with 30+ detailed SEO tests, alongside Google Search Console integration, schema types, an advanced 404 monitor, automated image SEO and a one-click import from Yoast SEO.
The advantage of living inside the editor is that the check and the fix are the same screen. ReachKit tells you your meta description is missing; Rank Math shows you that while you are writing the post, and lets you type it. For a WordPress publisher shipping several posts a week, that loop is tighter than anything an external checker can offer.
It is also cheap for what it is. Rank Math's published tiers start at €7.99/month billed annually for PRO (renewing at €8.99/month), with Business at €24.99/month and Agency at €54.99/month, both billed annually — and the free plugin is a real free plugin, not a trial.
Where it leaves a solo founder stranded
The web analyzer and the plugin are not the same product, and the gap between them is where a non-WordPress founder falls. The free analyzer takes any URL and returns a report you can download as a PDF, share or print. Everything the page describes as more advanced is behind the plugin — and the plugin requires WordPress. If your product is a Next.js app, a Rails app, a Framer site or anything else, the tighter half of Rank Math is simply not available to you, at any price.
The second gap is the one every checker shares: a report of what is wrong is not a decision about what to do. Rank Math's analyzer, like the rest of them, grades the page against best practice in isolation. It has no view of what you sell, which searches your buyers actually run, or which of your rivals is currently taking them — so it cannot tell you that the missing FAQ schema matters more this week than the short title, because from inside the page those two things look identical.
What ReachKit does instead
ReachKit measures 8 on-page signals — page title, meta description, heading structure, content depth, structured data, canonical URL, social share tags, and images & alt text — from your live HTML, and combines them by geometric mean with your raw search footprint into one 0–100 Discoverability Score. Same URL, same score, every time: no language model touches the number. The free checker at reachkit.app/tools/on-page-check needs no account and no email, and allows 30 checks per hour.
That works on any stack, because it reads the HTML you actually serve. There is no plugin, nothing to install, and nothing that stops working because your site is not WordPress. The flip side is honest: ReachKit has no editor integration, so it will never be the place you write the meta description — only the place you find out it is missing and what it is costing you.
The paid plan turns the check into a ranked weekly action plan — one task surfaced per day — where every item cites the evidence behind it, and the next weekly scan re-measures the site so a score gain is attributed to the on-page fix you shipped rather than assumed.
The first scan is free; the weekly engine is €29.50/month — the 50% launch price, locked for life, normally €59.
Who should pick which
Pick Rank Math if you publish on WordPress. The plugin puts the analysis where the writing happens, the free tier is genuinely useful, and nothing ReachKit does replaces having the checklist beside the editor.
Pick ReachKit if your site is not WordPress, or if you have already been told what is wrong with the page more than once and what you actually need is an order to do it in.

The verdict
- Your site runs on WordPress and you publish regularly.
- You want the SEO checklist inside the post editor, not in another tab.
- You are migrating off Yoast and want the one-click import.
- Your product is not a WordPress site, so the plugin half is unavailable to you.
- You want the fixes ordered by what they are worth, not listed as tests passed and failed.
- You want the score re-measured next week to see whether the fix actually moved it.
