ReachKit vs Seobility
A free on-page SEO checker takes a URL and reports what the page got wrong before a search engine reads it. Seobility's is one of the better ones: it returns an overall SEO score, sub-scores for meta information, page quality, page and link structure, server configuration and external signals, and a prioritised task list. ReachKit returns 8 on-page signals and a score built from your real search footprint — and does not cap you at five checks a day.
What Seobility does better
The report is better structured than most free checkers manage. Rather than one flat score, Seobility breaks the page into sub-scores — meta information, page quality, page and link structure, server configuration, external signals — so you can see which part of the page is dragging, and it ends with a prioritised task list rather than an unordered dump. It also publishes what its bands mean: 80%+ is a strong SEO foundation, 30–79% is optimisation potential.
It checks things ReachKit does not. Pages with too little text, duplicate or highly similar content, outdated HTML such as framesets, poor mobile optimisation, incorrect heading hierarchy, and whether the page has a weak backlink profile. Server configuration and off-page signals are outside ReachKit's 8 entirely.
And the surrounding suite is broad for the money: website audit, ranking monitoring including AI Overviews, backlink monitoring, competitor analysis, keyword research, uptime monitoring, plus a set of free tools its own page says work without registration.
Where it leaves a solo founder stranded
The free plan is 5 checks per day. That is Seobility's own published Basic tier — free forever, five a day — and it is the number that decides whether the tool is usable while you are actually editing a page. Fixing a title, re-running, adjusting, re-running is a loop that eats five checks before lunch. Premium is $50.00 per month for 50 checks a day, Agency $200.00 per month for 200, with a 14-day trial and prices excluding VAT.
The deeper limit is the one every checker in this bracket shares. A sub-scored, prioritised task list is still a list about the page. Seobility prioritises by how badly the page violates best practice, because that is all it can see. It does not know what you sell, which queries your buyers run, or which rival is taking them — so it cannot tell you that the structured data gap matters more this month than the thin content, only that both are true.
What ReachKit does instead
ReachKit's free on-page checker at reachkit.app/tools/on-page-check needs no account and no email, and allows 30 checks per hour rather than 5 per day. It measures 8 signals from your live HTML — page title, meta description, heading structure, content depth, structured data, canonical URL, social share tags, and images & alt text — and shows the concrete fix in full for every one that falls short, not blurred behind a signup.
Eight is fewer than Seobility's coverage, and the gap is real: no server configuration, no backlink profile, no mobile check, no duplicate-content detection across your site. If one of those is your actual problem, Seobility will find it and ReachKit will not.
What ReachKit adds is the axis a page-grader has no access to. The 8 signals are combined by geometric mean with your raw search footprint into one 0–100 Discoverability Score, so the number moves on how findable you are, not on how many best practices you satisfy. It is deterministic — same URL, same score, no language model in the path.
The paid plan then ranks the fixes into a weekly action plan, one task surfaced per day, each citing its evidence, and the next weekly scan re-measures so a gain is attributed to the on-page fix you shipped. €29.50/month, the 50% launch price, locked for life, normally €59.
Who should pick which
Pick Seobility if you want a well-structured free grade with sub-scores, if you need server-configuration or backlink checks, or if five checks a day is genuinely enough for how you work.
Pick ReachKit if you iterate on a page in bursts and a daily cap gets in the way, or if you want the task list ordered by what each item is worth to your market rather than by how far the page sits from best practice.

The verdict
- You want sub-scores per area, not one number and eight signals.
- You need server configuration, backlink profile or duplicate-content checks.
- You want ranking and uptime monitoring in the same product.
- Five free checks a day is not enough while you are editing a page.
- You want the list priced against your market, not against best practice.
- You want next week's scan to say whether the fix actually moved the number.
