Yoast runs a free online SEO checker: you enter a URL and run the scan, and you do not need to share an email address. It checks the page's key elements and its technical health. Yoast is also the WordPress plugin that puts SEO feedback beside the post as you write. What Yoast does well
The online checker is free and needs no email. It checks title tags, meta descriptions and headings, content structure, technical health such as HTTPS, canonicals, sitemap and robots.txt, and broken links and 404 errors.
Its page is honest about its limits: it is great for spotting common issues, but SEO is bigger than just checks.
The Premium plugin gives feedback as you write in WordPress, suggests internal links, previews posts on Facebook and X, and can draft titles and meta descriptions for you to review. On 2026-10-15 it was €118.80 a year before VAT.
